sorry about the new thread. The best retail price on the OP6081 is $58.80 (Motor Spares, Canberra)

Repco don't have it. I'll keep trying to find a better price through other auto suppliers. Hopefully I can get a trade price somewhere under $50.

I am also looking at getting them from a "special" source for under $20 each. However, I need to buy about 10 of them to do this. Hope this works out.Cheers

    From your 'special' source -

I'm sure APM would put his hand up for one (or two), and I would certainly grab one, just in case. I don't reckon you'd have any problem at all in finding 10 (or even 20) willing purchasers, at that price!

    I'd take a couple too.

At the rate I'm spitting out destroyed new parts I'll go through two of these pretty quick.

    Echlin past forum history 2001

Just searched through the forums and looks like in 2001 some ppl had trouble with the Echlin OPS?Anyone got any comments about this? But still I would like to try the Echlin OPS since I dont have a the retapping equipment to do the thread adapter for the VDO OPS and prefer not to add my little touch of human error especially when dealing with high pressured oil.

    Well ...........

I have had trouble with Nissan OPS.
I have had trouble with VDO OPS.
I figure I might as well go for 3 out of 3. Then again, it might work for more than 6 months, and I'm prepared to take the gamble.

wrap some exhaust manifold heat wrap

around the OPS once it's installed. I believe they stuff up due to heat.

What about just fitting a Trust oil filter

adapter that fits between the oil filter and block? It has 2 outputs for both Oil pressure, and Oil temperature, and you get the signal where it matters most, the oil pump.I got mine through Jason at Greenline when I bought my Defi gauges. Worth a look at if you don't want to play with tapping threads n stuff.

    2 Questions...

    1. Does this require any adaptors like the VDO unit?2. How do we pay for this?
    Thanks

A quick update on the Echlin OPS..>>

I have spoken to Zcar91 a couple of times today, unfortionatly the deal John was hoping to get for us has fallen through, the supplier thought he had an excess stock holding of Echlin OP6081 oil pressure sensors and would have been prepared to sell them for way under cost just to move them, upon further investigation John has discovered the supplier was working with the wrong part No.
Bad luck but many thanks still go to Zcar91 for tyring :YD Ok the news aint all that bad,
I have been in contact with one of my parts suppliers about doing some good pricing.
ATM: I am currently waiting on a forum member to contact me RE: Formal Group Buy/Stocking/Reselling.Hopefully will have more details including final pricing in the next few days.Cheers
    Andrew
