checking the 300

    gday lads looking at a nice 1992 na down here in adelaide....100300km...nice targa.i checked it all oer prety well and visually and handling wise its sweet as...now the problem is that i dont know much about engines... is it worth getting a check done on the car??? a friend sugested the RAA??? anyone recomend a ZED shop to chesk it over in adelaide???any experiences? cost...?the car is selling for 14k. im a bit worried cos its prety sweet but seems too good to be true...i see 1990 models with 150k for 18k so i wonder if its stuffed??????

    You might want to check

    to see if the 100k service has been done. If it hasn't, then figure in an extra 2k+ for after you buy it, maybe more depending on how much you can do yourself. To check the engine, I wouldnt trust anybody like the RAA, I would opt for somebody who has a knowledge of performance japanese cars. I think this has been discussed before but i cant remember a name or place here in Adelaide but you could do a search for 'Adelaide mechanic' and see what comes up.Cheers
