Never have I seen so much...

Thunder, lightning and hail as I did last nite. It was relentless. I'm certainly glad that I had my big fat Volvo and the 300 in the garage last nite. It was rolling thunder at its best. Commiserations for those who suffered damages in the storm but it was a great lite show.

    Blipman Beer hooves totally work

I've never seen anything like that

at about 3 this morning, almost CONSTANT lightning for at least 2 hours.... it was like a strobe light. Amazing. I don't think we got hail but we had (on a tin roof) what sounded like huge individual drops of water. The sound was too soft to be hail or debris.Ben

It was eerie after midnight >>>

Constant lightning, yet not a single sound in Carrum Downs. It all seemed to be in the north, so Lilydale makes sense - but we had no thunder whatsoever. I went outside and watched it for about half an hour wishing I knew where the hell my tripod was - great photo opp. We must have had a little bit of rain, but nothing to speak of, and no hail. Also, around 7.30-8pm there was a weird sort of natural light. All the colours in the garden seemed greatly enhanced, yellow flowers, red bark, red zed, etc. figured something was gonna happen.

:`( :`( :`( My car was out in the hail :`(

and got some damage...Was not very happy at all, lucky it realy only got the bonnett, all the rest of the car is ok, there might be one realy small dent on the roof but you cant realy see it.The side of the car that the hail was coming from was shielded by a 4WD and the other side did not get hit as the hail was coming in on such an angle. I was standing there watching it happen, my alarm was going off like crazy, and there was nothing i could do :(. No where i could have driven it to get it under cover....So now if anyone knows where i might be able to get some of thoes dents removed, i would appreciate some pointers.I will try and take some pics of it and post them soon.-Hurgh-Oh, and to all thoes guys that drove in my wedding party, Thanks a heap. I will have the photo's soon and will be contacting you to get some details so i can send you all some hard copies :).Thanks
