I lost my licence last week due to another speeding fine, so i'm serving 3 months on foot patrol!
They say things come in three's, and i believe that oh to well!
My first incident was when i had that accident with that 4X4, (post was pulled from the forum, due to inappropriate post/replies), then a month of arguing with the insurance company for them to get the car repaired.
A few days after the car came back from the panel beaters, i was involved in another accident (my fault) which was litteraly just a ding on my car and afew small dings and afew small scratches on the other car (honda s2000). What seemed like a few hundred dollars of damage turned into big dollars!! the other guy got quotes of $8500 just for afew scratches and dings!!
after having the car in the panel beaters for 2 weeks just for a ding, and the second time in about a month and a bit, i got the car back again!
afew days later i was rushing to meet with some people, and got done for speeding and lost my licence for 3 months!
so i got no license for most of summer, which means no targa top off, no fun, no nothing!!its been a week today without driving, and i don't know how much more i can handle!!!thats my hard luck story for now....

    Thats a shame!

Damn.. I feel for you but too be honest I know a a few people who have lost their liscence for 6 months either for speeding or for drink driving and they still drive. As long as your smart about it and stop speeding and drive during the day.. As long as you dont take risk of driving on weekends at night you should be ok.. Realistically think about how many times you get pulled over in the day..the odds are in your favour..I have had my 300zx for almost a year now and have not been pulled over once.. and I was driving with out a license plate for 2 months. I even went on the melbourne city link a few times with out paying cos i had no license plate.
Driving with the targa's off is pure pleasure and I wouldnt give it up during this summer!!Regardsdaz

I cant believe what I just read!!!

Dude, its a shame for you that you lost your license, but when you lose it because of an acumulation of points, then theres no hard luck story. Just repeated stupidity. Just count your blessings that you werent involved in an accident while you were breaking the law or you can kiss your insurance cover goodbye. Better still, thank god that you didnt kill or injure anybody.
And then for a mooron to encourage you to drive while disqualified is outrageous.
Hang your head Daz, you'd have a different view if a loved one had been killed or injured but a fool who shouldnt by law be behind the wheel of his car.:N( :N(

    and also

if you have another accident you wont be insured if you are driving unlicenced.

    Everyone makes mistakes but STRUTH

telling someone to drive without a licence is just DUMB. I doubt that your insurance would be valid if you have an accident. If you hurt some innocent person in such a stupid way and then have no cover you deserve the WHACKING STICK.Also I love this club and think statements like that bring us all into disrepute, but then again I'm just an old bloke who likes a drink and wears a cat NOT A WOMBAT :D Geoff AKA Oni the nice boy with a big stick

    to moderators

i think your guys are the heart of this forum and are who keep everything together:YD :YD :YD but i really do appreciate it when you do leave a small notice after removing pples posts! becoz my post was not just aimed at chili..actually a very small portion of my message.......the rest was for Mr ZX and my sympathy for him and my general concern of the "younger" drivers being targeted at abuse and scrutiny lately....i just hope the more mature pple on this forum treat others with more respect as "we were all once inexperienced drivers!"=) =) =) all we want is pple to be safe and at the same time have fun!happy Z ing

If your upset at my reaction to an idiot>

suggesting...no, advising, another driver to continue driving after having been disqualified, then I'm afraid your going to have a long wait for a change in my attitude.
In spite of my approaching senility, I can still remember the feeling of losing two close friends and one family member to unlicensed drivers, and I can tell you that respect is NOT a word that applies to my feelings about drivers of that mindset.Lloyd:N(

    I agree...

It is OK to leave a post condoning illegal activity but not one that reacts emotianally to it... something wrong here!!

Chili, learn from what I said

rather than just come back angry about it. I specifically said that stating your opinion (even strongly) is fine, however abusive, personal attacks are not. It's a pretty simple concept present in most aspects of society.Ben

I'm NOT angry about it Ben. I am>

simply stating my position on this subject in response to the thread from Mijake, in which he states that respect should be shown (presumably by myself), to young drivers who are yet to learn common sense and responsibility. As his original thread was deleted before I was able to read it, I am unable to address his remarks in a more precise manner. This was NOT aimed at the Moderators.Cheers mate

Why do I get this feeling of deja vu...

cause I'm pretty sure this is not the first nor the last time Ben and Chili have bumped heads regarding something. I have to agree though, I'm not trying to say I'm an experienced driver or anything, I am young but I am a hell of a lot smarter than is being displayed at times around here. I've lost two very close friends to a drunk unlicensed driver before I moved to Australia, and as far as I'm concerned, I have no respect for idiots...and what is being questioned here is idiotic...no one can argue that
