I have a 1990 Auspec 300ZX NA manual which is my daily driver (spirited street driving; no track work). I am currently going through the following process: 1. replacing the front/rear shock absorbers with KYB Excel-G oem equivalents; 2. replacing front/rear rotors with Protex rotors (plain; not drilled or slotted); 3. fitting new front/rear brake caliper seal kits; 4. replacing front/rear brake pads. There are so many choices for brake pads (semi metallic, ceramic, etc) , I would appreciate any recommendations for low dust low noise brake pads suitable for daily/spirited street driving. Thanks Paul
EBC greenstuff, Bendix ultimate, I've used both of these pads front and rear. Greenstuff is more expensive but lasts longer, dust from the g/s pads is a little annoying at first, but clears up to where you cant see it after brake in period, quite quickly.
Ceramics are the latest technology and seem to have the widest temperature range. I've been very pleased so far with Bendix Ultimate Plus on fronts (not available for rears yet - when I was buying). RGS Performance has some ceramic pads that are very nicely priced, no personal experience with their performance but I believe Rob had good feedback on them.
