I don't believe there is a heavy duty one. It may be a Mitsubishi model that fits. Someone will let you know. Carcraze sell them I think. Really if it is your first one in a 20 + year old car it's not that bad. I always disconnect my earth when not being used (which is all the time) as it stops stray currents.

Thank you twin terror for your info I’ve brought the car 2 and a half years ago no rego I’ve slowly been emptying my acc in to it lol changed every air and water pipes I could find with blue silicon hoses polished rocker covers painted them anodised blue polished the intake my self at home that took ages as I only have the weekend to do things . aftermarket alloy 3 core radiator curved blade thurmo fan with the most cmf I cold find and some other goodies it is nerly ready for rwc I’ve put a lot of time and cash in to it the person that had it before me loved red silicon it was the main fix on the poor car Ive fixed all that with proper gaskets and seals everything was leaking is now fixed just trying to save myself the headache of doing this in the future can’t wait to get it going and come to a club meet would love to see what others have done to there’s

O yes I brought the car in Queensland and drove it to vic not realising it was as bad as it was don’t know how it got us home.

Half the fun of owning a Zed is the trip (adventure) home. A lot of guys have had some epic adventures home over the years. What part of Vic are you in ?. The heater core is a pain in the arse but can be done with the dash in although easier and probably quicker with it out. Some of the guys have mastered the dash out way and can do it very quick.
    Cheers

If auto I think you can replace the heater core without removing the dash. Mine was a manual so had to remove the dash as the clutch assembly gets in the way

bret im using old socks now over any pipework so there are no nooks and crannies for a stray bolt or nut to sit waiting to drop into pipework when i pullout the rag. get that thing on the road before your holiday is over.
