Flashing light after starting.

    Just wondering if any one knows why ,after starting my zed there is a orange light with no icon on it on the right hand side that will flash about 5-6 times and then goes off until the next start. If it helps ,it's an Aus spec 1990 model,auto.Thanks.

    i think its the transmission light warning indicating there is a error code on the auto ecu coming up. i would suggest you perform a transmission diagnostic check either through a special manual sequence or by using conzult

    Thanks for yr reply Adam, I will try and get the check done ASAP. Do you know if that is std not too have an icon for that warning indicator?regards Dunco.

    from what i can guess yes as your ADM model or aussie delivered model wouldnt have a specific item for the warning but the jdm models do its the power light warning and that is what lights up on stattup when there is an error code on the auto ecu. if you need help i may be able to check the codes with my conzult if you are local to me of course.

    Hi Adam, thanks again for your help, i live in upper Beaconsfield which is 10 mins from Berwick in the South East. Where are you situated? The travel doesn't' worry me.Regards Don.

    hey don im located currently in mill park in the northern suburbs which is about an hour away from where you are. there is a member in berwick who might be able to assist you his nickname is tektrader and if you message him and ask for help he might be able to do a diagnostic test for you using conzult.

    No worries Don, I do alot of my own servicing and servicing of other members 300ZX's at my Dad's place in Altona. If your happy to travel that far, I can do the diagnostic test for you and other tests if you like in a few weeks time when I am down there to work on my own Z projects stuff. I could organise for you to come down then if you like. I've got your mobile and I'll contact you via text message when I have a free weekend.
