Any of you FAST users able to help me out with a part number? I've got a lower power steering return hose that's on its way out and just need to know what part number to order. Photo below:

    Serious?

I just went down to super cheap and got a bit of power steering hose.

If you twist the hose slightly, it will go into the exact shape. clamp it up and you are done.

I've used a cut down LHD hose in the past, and I'm pretty sure my own car just has run of the mill EFI hose. If I was doing it again I'd probably just get some multi purpose hose from Pietek -should be about $10 for half a meter and excellent oil resistance etc.

Cheers mate, I called up Nissan Dandenong and ordered it in through them. $85.

Melbourne members take note: never order anything from Blackburn Nissan, as the parts interpreter I called couldn't be bothered looking for a part number because "imports do my head in". **** that guy.

I'm sure generic hose will probably work fine, but I'm pretty particular when it comes to hoses - especially pre-formed ones like this. Using generic hose ends up working okay about 70% of the times I've done it, but when the OEM stuff works 100% of the time I'd rather go with that.

Any half decent power steering shop/repairer should be able to make and shape you a hose and it won't cost the earth. Or get pirtex or other hose makers to do it for you, give them the old one and they'll make it on the spot .

Or I could just, you know, call up Nissan and get something that fits perfectly without having to physically go to a shop to show them what I need and deal with the inevitable "nah sorry mate can't do that".

It just depends what your time and your car is worth I guess.

If the car is as good as it looks in the pics it would be nice to keep it premo.
