Does anyone know what other car wheels (patterns) fit a Z (89 model)

PCD is 5x114.3mm so any wheel with that stud pattern will bolt on provided no fouling on guards our brakes. Offsets and diameters get tricky. Do some searching on this as it has been discussed a lot.

Also find a style of wheel you like and do a trial fit.

What are you looking for, a different look, wider rubber, bigger wheels. Please provide some more specifics in your question.

As mentioned above, the style of many wheels will make contact with the front brake calipers. You would be able to fit a Falcon Taxi steel wheel if you had a bolt on spacer.

A member on this forum had Falcon XR6 stock 17" alloy and they seemed to fit really well (no spacers required) and clear the front brake calipers.

If you're looking for something cheap to get back on the road all the common 5-stud nissan stuff will fit, skylines, S14,15, stageas etc.

Wheels off 350 and 370 Z's the R35 wheels too.

I remember when I bought mags for my first zed, the guy at Bob Jane was surprized to see that the pcd and offset were the same as BA Falcon :)

Same but Hub Diameter is different.

It's commonly thought that falcon rims will fit a zed and the do have the same stud pattern but the hub diameter is slightly different (ask Liam) and hub rings are needed to make it safe but I wouldn't trust it myself.

I remember when those Falcon GT mags with new tyres were being sold on this forum for $200. Should have bought them. But some were crapping on about different bore and hub centric stuff. (Agree it is very important for bolt on spacers, but just get the rings to allow your wheels to bolt up in correct position.) Ended up spending heaps more on a set of wheels that were Nissan spec, only to find out they were using hub rings anyway.

So yes what he said, but if you go Mag Wheel shopping almost all the Mag Wheels have a larger standard bore diameter that is adapted with hub rings.

Alloy hub rings are all over ebay to adapt 71.5 to the smaller Nissan hub.
    I got mine from gktech.

OEM wheels from other makes may have smaller bore than Nissan so you wont be able to fit them.

Bigger issue with falcon wheels is that many of them aren't designed to clear four piston brakes.

Offsets from the 300ZX, 350Z and 370Z all differ so actually tread with caution on this one.

That said, the latter wheels tend to have a more aggressive offset so they end up looking better than stock and clear calipers with ease.

But look out for guard rubbing.

Been a while and I used to remember all the offsets but not anymore, so as others have said, use the search tool here and you'll find loads of information.

The starting point really is understanding PCD, width, design, and offset, and how they ALL affect fitment.
