    G'day guys,

So I want to get a new set of wheels for my n/a 300 but I'm not sure what the ideal offset and width would be. I'm pretty well set on getting a set of 17inchers as I don't really want to spend stupid money on the wheels or rubber.

    Cheers in advance.

I think you will find 18" tyres might actually be cheaper especially on the bigger widths.

You will probably see a better range in rims and tyres.

If you want a high quality performance light rim for a good price you can't go past Enkei, check out eBay.

    for reference...

My wheels are 18 Inch - 9.5 +22 all around - Rolled front and rear guards with with adjustable arms.

My Zed is on the right - Not sure what Kris is running on the left but his Zed sits really nice as well!

Ok, what do you guys reckon with these specs because I really like the look of these rims but am unsure if they'll clear?

    front 17x8+45
    Rear 17x9+38
    Tyres 235 all round

They will fit with no issues, you can also get things like the series 2 , 350z rims with tyres for about $1000.

Very sensible. Will fit fine. Fronts make sure to test fit as it all depends on the spoke design.

Wouldn't go any wider, stock NAs are going to be even slower with say an 18x10 on the rear with 285 tyres. The internets is also full of 10" rims with 205 tyre pose mobiles.

yes test fit first...... with most rims - I have a set of 17x8 +45's and the spokes hit the front calipers. Add to that the 18's I run on the front are 18x8.5 +25 and they have about 3mm clearance from the calipers. so there is more to it all than just offset

for the front try and find a 8 +35 or and 8 +30, it should fit without any issues. for the rear a 9 +38 works well and you can run a 255 on the rear without guard issues.

I would test fit the front the spoke design will play a big part in clearing the caliper

    Back again

    Hey guys,

I'm back again on this thread with another question about fitment for wheels. So the ones I was going for earlier went bust and as such, I have been looking around again and found a really nice set of SSRs. But, the only major trouble I have with them is the size and offset on the front. 8inch +25. I understand that I'll more than likely have to roll the guards to be able to fit them but I wanted to know if at that offset if it'd be worth it. The car hasn't had any modifications done underneath and I'd like to keep it that way so if I'd need to do anything more than guards then they would be a no go. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

8" +25 isn't too bad, I think at worst you'd need a little camber or just fold the lip on the front guards. If they're 17"s that's quite a good size for performance on a low-medium powered Z.

Scratch that, was daydreaming and realised that's barely 1mm off my front clearance, easy fit with 235 or 245 tyres which are about standard for 8".

Yeah agreed very easy fit, just make sure the spokes clear your brake calipers.

A long time ago .....I used to run

    8 + 29 235/18/40
    9 + 35 265/18/35

fits no prob on the guards
but as said spoke design on rim for caliper clearance needs to be checked
