Coolant Leak

    Hey guys, I woke up today and saw coolant was leaking at the front right of the car it's a 92' 300zx 2+0 I filled it up but it lost coolant pretty fast any ideas ?

    By front right do you mean passenger side? Could be the overflow bottle or hose.

    Yeah its on the passenger side

    In an Australian/Japanese car? That's the left. Should be the coolant overflow if it's outside the engine bay. When you filled it up were you pouring down the plastic nozel for the overflow bottle or straight into the radiator?

    I poured it in the overflow bottle but when my bonnets open waters flicking up from the fan aswell

    OK firstly you shouldn't be filling via the overflow tank -it's hard to say without seeing the car but from what you've described you could just be overfilling the overflow reservoir in which case it will just pour water out until it settles at the correct level.

    Start by removing the bleed screw from the top driver's side corner of the radiator.

    Fill the radiator via the radiator neck.

    Replace the bleed screw.

    Fill the overflow tank to the full point on the dipstick.

    Start the car and bleed any air from the system, preferably with a bleed funnel (or similar).

    Now that your cooing system is filled correctly you can monitor for coolant loss.
