Hey all. Anyone ever delt in mambatek turbos before? Prices seem reasonable and from reciews iv seen some good feed back. I know this is a company that broke off from another tiwaneese company and in terms of business perspective they are still relativly a new company. Not chasing over the top numbers, just a fun weekend track/cruise setup. (Fast spool 600rwhp build with all supporting mods) Any one have any opinions on these? There's a forum member selling a genuine Garrett GT2560 kit for $1500 or thereabouts that would be a much better investment. Re the turbos you linked to no I haven't used them but generally speaking you'll get better quality bearings in a genuine Garrett turbo. The ones in the pic won't fit a 300zx unless you fabricate an intake.
I undetstand the different characteristics of a unleaded vs diesel engine. Im relativly new to forced induction. At the end of the day all a turbo does is create forced air flow govened by how hard/fast you can turn it. Yes the article does say if can support diesel engines but it can also support petrol engines. The only main differences is i can see between the 2 engines is exhaust gas temps and spool speed, and the surge of the engine. And yes rob i did see the post on the forums. I actualy messaged him right before posting this thread. I dont want this thread turning into a debate. Im after solid information on why these are good and bad. Im a mechanic by trade but forced induction is somthing i dont get the experiment with. This is why i thort id ask the question. Thanks
