    Hi Everyone,

My Zed is running stock turbo + nistune boost to 17psi. but the stock clutch started slip at 3rd or 4th gear around 3300rpm when I full Throttle.
Which clutch is the best choice for my Zed without losing too much drivability?
( I almost drive my Z32 in everyday :zlove: but always have heavy traffic, start and stop in HK.:bash: )

One more question, I am planning to get replace my flywheel as well during the clutch job, Will light weight flywheel good for our Z32?

I didn't have much experience on clutch and flywheel... sorry for my stupid question. :p

    Thanks,
    Jack

Heavy duty organic. Exedy or similar will do you fine.

JUN's are lovely and get my stamp of approval too. Beautifully made.

I haven't tried it's competitors but I'm always happy to recommend the JWT sport clutch, it's hardy, will hold that power and if you've got a booster you'll barely notice it's heavy duty.

what about XTreme Heavy Duty Clutch Kit?
Their website didn't have any toque allowable for that clutch.

Nothing wrong with the Xtreme clutches.
The Xtreme Heavy Duty Organic would be a good choice.

personally used an exedy HD organic clutch, felt fine, had a nice bite when it needed, was able be to slipped enough in traffic and moving slow. I have had to move on to something more heavy as power has gone up.

    Would bang again. 8/10

I run a Competition Brass Button in mine, 17PSI on 98RON and 22PSI on E85. Quite easy to drive in traffic once you are use to it. I drove mine daily for 5 years with a brass button.

I'd go for a HD organic clutch if i were you, with a factory flywheel.

F1 or XTD stage 3 clutch gets my vote, excellent clutches for the money.

With respect to your question about Flywheels, be VERY careful about your choice of "lightened" items(for "Street" use), as many people have discovered that this IS NOT necessarily an improvement in "Everyday Driving"(many experience issues with "Bogging-down" at low-speed/stop-start driving conditions). This can quickly become very frustrating and destroys your enjoyment of using your "Pride & Joy".

I agree with F1. Great value for money.

Also agree with this. Personally, not a fan of going full lightweight crank pulley, fly and tailshaft. Stick with 1 or 2 of them light.

Fact. Especially if you're going with an aggressive clutch (4 or 6 puk), a lightened flywheel won't carry the inertia to give smooth stop/start traffic life.

    Lightened flywheel? DONT DO IT!!!

I shuddered more on a up hill start than a ice addict trying to go cold turkey.

They sound good in theory but just arnt really worth it IMO

With a sprung organic plate lightweight-flywheels really aren't much of an issue, with something more aggressive you probably do want to keep the mass though. That said I do keep my idle a bit high, probably masks it a bit.

Actually I'm with my Zed in HK at this moment.
I need to find somewhere able to ship the clutch to HK,
and I think I need to replace my flywheel as well because when I start the car, crank the engine, sometime it will get some Grinding noise. ( Around 5-10%)
I need release everything and re-crank to start it up. then the noise disappear.
Starter has been replaced, last year, So... I think is the time to replace flywheel as well when do the clutch job.

One more question, any comment/review for the XTD clutch? I find that it's very Great value on ebay and able to ship HK.

    I can't find anywhere to buy a F1 racing clutch online ><!

F1 might have had a brand change, but the seller was 'Gripforce'.

    MagicMike..you are correct.

Mirage... I purchased that completeF1 lightened flywheel and clutch kit from Gripforce on Ebay in around 2011 and I am running Z1 gt675rs ball bearing turbo pack and forged bottom etc and have not had any issues with this set up. The grip is good and the action is light even though I am not using a clutch booster.

In fact the low mass of a lightened flywheel keeps the shipping cost down..LOL
