    Hi ALL,

should i flush my old system out prior to installing my new 56mm radiator?

and can the thermostat and hoses be change without removing the belts??

I am a handy DIY guy but not really in Mechanic's but really want to be hands on and learn so any advice appreciated.

    cheers,

    Dan

    mrkarter77 No Really, They do!!!

definitely, the less shit going into the new rad, potentially blocking it the better.

Yep, you can change the thermostat without removing belts, but the water pump/alternator belt will need to come off anyway as the fan has to come out to give you access to the water pipe bolts.

    Thanks

Flush and new radiator all installed. No need to remove any belts to get to thermostat and water pipes... Just waiting 24hrs for gasket seal and then will prime the system.

Easy install - the most time consuming bit was flushing the system and sanding and polishing the pipes.

First mechanic job seem to go well.

    Happy Days

Be sure to bleed the system of any air when refilling with coolant & distilled water. Do this with the front of the car jacked up, heater on and this will make it a lot simpler.
