    Hi everyone,
    I have a 2+2 TT z32 auto that's recently developed a smoking habit.
Last week it was blowing smoke a few seconds after coming off boost, I assumed this was turbo seals however after leaving it garaged for four days this morning it was blowing blue smoke at idle and more or less the entire time while accelerating, clouds visible from the rear view mirror and while idle from the side mirrors. I pulled the plugs and found the drivers side bank closest to the window and to the nose both had oil on them (at the electrode). Is this likely to be valve stem seals? or is it possible that the PCV's are wide open.
I'm yet to do a compression test but will clean the PCV's tonight to see if that resolves the issue.
    Thanks.

Valve stem seals tend to smoke the most when you take off after idling for a period. It could still be a turbo if it has sprayed oil all through the intake pipes...
Compression test is a good idea to rule out damaged bores or rings...
Could also be something simple like a jammed pcv valve?

Pull your PVCs and give them a clean, i suspect theyre stuck open.

Been doing some fast cornering also?

Yep, this is what I think has happened as before the car was garaged I'd had a bit of a spirited drive. Thanks for the input guys.

When you get oil around like that on plugs or a plug its never good news,do the com test save a lot of ifs and whats. Good luck :br:

Only had half an hour to spare last night so i removed the drivers side PCV, totally blocked in closed position, soaked in kerosene and now working properly. Removed the intercooler 'boost' hoses and found oil in the hose between the turbo and intercooler. Throttlebody was mostly clean. Will check the passenger side tonight hopefully and keep it garaged until I can do a compression test on the weekend.

Probably just a buildup of oil dude to blocked pcvs .
I've got some new ones here if your keen .
    :)
Strongest motor that one shouldn't have any dramas with her :D

Blocked pcvs can cause oil pressurization to bypass the stem seals and get on the plugs aswell !!

Passenger side PCV was completely blocked and inoperable, soaked in kerosene then acetone and it's back to it's normal function again. Cleaned out the oil from the boost hoses and it's not blowing smoke anymore.
