Moses just make sure you using a new tensioner while your there because its not worth using a used one when everything is coming off...plus make sure it is genuine nissan parts is my suggestion

I have about 50 belts at my shop that have been there since we opened nearly three years ago, and they are all still good to be sold. This is commonplace for a lot of stores, not just ours, and ive never sold a timing belt and had the customer ask for a different one because it has perished or gone bad.

The belts have no 'use by date' that im aware of, and we have had instructional nights on these from Dayco regarding everything from stocking the belts to fitting them.

As per the FSM - Belts are replaced every 100,000KLM or 48 Months whichever is sooner.

Gates racing belts are stronger and more resistant to wear /corrosion but its more about the idler pulleys needing replacement than an older belt.

I think the belt would be fine for 20 years if it was stored correctly - if stored in the sun...then two years max - lol
