Took the car for a drive yesterday on the highway round trip of 300k's.
Got to the destination stopped car and let it cool down on the Turbo timer. Left the car for around 15 minutes went to restart it and no go. Opened the hood and let things cool down and checked a few connectors and away we go again. However backing out of the car park there was a fair bit of smoke coming out the exhaust for a short period of time. 2 minutes max.
Whilst on the highway I hit the loud pedal a couple of times to clear it out and see if there was any smoke out the rear. I saw a haze of black and blue as she cleared her throat but after that I couldn't get her to blow any smoke out the exhaust again.
Engine has done 720k's since complete rebuild incl short block, valves, valve seals etc.
When we got home turned off and left to cool on Turbo timer and noticed smoke again wafting from the pipes not much but enough to concern me to ask this question. About the same as you get when the valve stem seals are shot.
Is this a sign of turbo seals failing?

If you're worried a leakdown test would be a good idea. From what you've said though it sounds flooded?

parker Been around for a bit

got a crossover pipe on your exhaust? That can help a turbo seal. But 720kms isn't even run in yet really. Wonder if the rings have not bedded in properly or if the gaps were correct. Do the above advice and it should reveal some treats

Such a pita doing a leak down test.
Regards over fueling fuel consumption is 15Ltr /100k.
Maybe this is the problem so I take it check FPRV?

15Ltr/100klm is very high. what is your Fuel pressure and did you renew all injectors and sealing rings and insulators with same type? Have you had it dyno tuned?
