Hey guys, I thought I'd chuck up some snaps of my roof racks and how they attach to the car. It's a big ask to even find a photo of the OEM racks so I figure somebody might be curious. The racks themselves separate into three pieces for storage, pictured bolted together below. Two and four seater versions are different to accommodate the longer roof. Load rating is officially 30kg, though they feel solid enough to carry more. They attach to the roof of the car with rubber boots to stop paint damage. Latched underneath the edge of the outer roof panels, the racks are designed to not prevent the targas from being removed. The last row of hardware are the ski holding attachments; one of two options owners could ask for, the other being a surf board holder. The components in my kit are a little weathered and the plastic coatings are peeling off in the odd place. Placing the racks on the roof, the outer end caps come off with one screw to reveal the mounting hardware. The boots work well to save the paint... Hooking the mounting pieces underneath the edge of the roof then back into the rack, the racks tighten on by winding in the M6 bolt. The end caps then screw back on, tucking nicely into the upper edges of the boots. Done and dusted. Sorry about the sketchy completed photos; afternoon in my garage gets some really uneven light. -A
Unsure of the centre bar length difference, but the 2+2 version also fit the 2+0. Set also comes with clear plastic protective tape strips that protect the paint where the hold down straps fit. Will try to scan the instructions and post up when I'm back in Brissy next
