    And the time from that post to this one is how long it took me to find the answer

    This has gone way off topic.

    Simply put;

    The relevant information was posted, the member confirmed that the vehicle had successfully been opened, and I (acting in what I believe to be the best interest of the majority of members) then removed the information.

    For future reference yes communicating via pm would be preferable, although I don't have a problem with the info being shared on the forum and then removed once it is no longer required.

    That's all there is to it; Lloyd & Kingy you're entitled to express your opinions but now that you have done so I hope that you'll respect that a decision has been made and that there's nothing more to see here.

  3. didnt know locking my keys in the zed would cause problems. all points are valid. robs point about advertising ways to break in is spot on, but in saying that the point being made about a determined thief gaining access regardless of the measures the owner has taken are spot on too. if they want in, they will get in. i have had a series 2 rx7 with rebuilt mild port 13b stolen and 50 do absolutely nothing about it but say to me "call it a loss". productive policing right there. keys have been retrieved and all points have merit. i could of gone the different path and pm'd a mod about my predicament, but the thought didnt cross my mind.

    I have already stated that I had some misgivings about posting this info(but I was trying to answer another member in distress). At no time did I apportion blame to anyone involved(the next person will have to get another car).
    Someone once said "No Good Deed every goes unpunished", I can attest to that!!
