So I've got a trackelectronics bt consult adapter. Anyway, I can pair my phone but I can't seem to get anything working past there. In the datascan app (lite version), I get 'ini failed'.

Anyway, since this is the second unit I'm trying and getting the same problem, so I'm wondering if this could be anything to do with the fact that I have a nistune ECU. Works fine with the cable programs tho.

    What do you all think?
Alternatively, could it be my phone that's the issue?

    Many thanks,
    Lee

I use the BTconsult with a stock ECU.
Using NikoZ on Android phone, there is also BlueFRom (free), but the NDS1lite is good because you connect using the connect button. That seems to clear off any other app that was running on the BTconsult

So, do we think it's something to do with the nistune daughter board then

I don't know. I've tried both Nissan Data Scan I and ConsultBT Scan on my Android tablet (with bt consult adapter) and neither works. NDSI can sometimes read my ECU number and that its.

But ECU talk on my laptop with a cable works fine.

The fact that ECU talk works makes me think its not a problem with the Nistune daughter board but with the software or the adapter.

Thanks for that. When I'd sent the first one back, she did say they were struggling to find any problems with the adapter. And I think I'd be really unlucky to simple get 2 that don't work.

I'll try on a different android device in case my phone doesn't like it for some reason.

I have a friend that's got one as well so might ask him to have a go with his on my car.

Any one else had a similar issue, or have it working etc?
