Hi tech gurus, I have had all sorts of issues with my datascan software communication with my ECU, already posted here. The solution I understand is to get the Nissan Datascan for Windows 7, 64 bit software, so I am looking for someone in the forum who can email me the downloaded and saved file. I Googled it but my virus protection brought up warnings about download so I didn't. Someone must have downloaded this version safely and proven that it works. My email address is terry_f@iinet.net.au
    thanks

I only have the 32 bit version but from memory every time you install the program it generates a different code for you to register via email to obtain a new serial number.
So to get someone to send you the download wont help much , they would have to register the product for you after you gave them the generated code as it will only be sent to the originally listed email address that was given when they purchased the software. This is providing they have a spare code still available for registration.(I think you get 3)

As you say the registration comes when you try to install or run the software, not when you download so if someone downloads and chooses the save option then they have "virgin" software so to speak, and I can install it and register it (I have 2 licences left). In the past when I "transferred" XP version software from my old PC to a new one, I contacted DataScan and explained, and they "refunded" 1 licence to me. All I need is the downloaded and saved software, Win 7, 64 bit.
    regards

Yes, that is right. A 64-bit OS has support to run 32-bit applications. Most operating systems these days retail as 64-bit as 32-bit doesn't support over 4GB of memory.

Are you sure the drivers are installed correctly for whatever cable your using to connect to your diagnostic port? I also use the 32-bit version on my 64-bit Windows 10 technical preview and it works just fine.
