Hi can anyone help! My 19yr old wants a 300zx but it has twin turbo is there a way that I can get the turbo turned Off (bypassed) until he has more experience. thanks Maria
No you can't " turn off " a twin turbo, the only way too avoid him driving one is to get a Non Turbo version commonly referred to as the VG30DE motor or N/A ( Naturally Aspirated ).
Hi Maria, Just to;let you know that a naturally aspirated (NA) 300zx is still a very quick and capable car. My grandson bought one off me while he still had his Ps. Now has a 350zx. The 300zx NA is capable of over 200klm/hr and can get there very quickly. He should able to get a really good one for ~ $8000. If you pay less than this it is very probably going to cost him a LOT more in the future. There a lot of very capable 300zx owners in WA, get them to vet the car before your son buys. Good luck Martin
Thanks very much Martin for the advice, I will have to look around but it seems there are only turbo's here in WA for sale.
hi maria, wa zed owner here as well. the following gumtree cars are non turbos. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/nollamara/cars-vans-utes/1990-nissan-300-coupe/1055650751 http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/thor...ce-reduced-1990-nissan-300zx-coupe/1046308348 http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/doubleview/cars-vans-utes/1991-nissan-300-coupe/1055149753 hopefully one of those appeals.
Out of the 3 Jinxed put up, my pick would be this one, looks much cleaner , less Klm's , and looks better maintained. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/doubleview/cars-vans-utes/1991-nissan-300-coupe/1055149753
haha should probably change my signature, i had two n/a's they were whole lot of fun but then discovered something called turbo and i was in love, though a little bit more headache than the n/a's besides "Having three zed's hardly driven and seating on the lawn drove the missus crazy lol
Kenny ,Kenny ,Kenny you should know by now, never send the missus crazy, happy wife/Girlfriend, HAPPY LIFE. Besides NA's are fun, look at Vertie she's a topless floozy.
