Luckily the car behind you stopped, and the dude that lives in the house the car was parked in front of came out and had a chat, exchanged information, which was then passed onto my Missus, & now into the crash report system.

Great fun car to drive! Am on OZRS, but only really lurk on forums these days. Going to take it up to Barbs again soon. Have done a 61.7 on the short track so far. Should just drop into the sub 60's with more practise.

Well, being 54 and 6 foot as well as weighing almost 2 of you isn't conducive to using an Exige on a daily basis and pretty much ANY basis really. Last one I drove I exit with both hands on the ground as the first step to get out of the car.

In fact if it didn't go around corners as good as a Smart car, considering what it costs I would be pretty pissed off.

Now go find me a 40K new car that can do what the RS 265 can ? Difficult cause they don't exist.......

 

The Megan sounds like a good car but I'll just point out that in terms of maximal possible air intake to the engine

22psi boost for 2 litres = 9.8 psi boost for 3 litres = 0 psi boost 5 litres

(assuming turbo's add no heat. As turbos do add heat 0psi > 9.8psi > 22psi)

Also

20psi boost for 3 litres = 0 psi boost for 7.08 liters = 37.35 psi for 2 litres.

I know several Z's running 20 psi (including my own) but how many Megans can run 37 psi on pump?

and

Effective capacity = Engine capacity * (Boost + 14.7psi)/14.7psi

There is volumetric efficiency and turbo and intercooler efficiency also to take into account etc this is just a quick calc to point out that even with boost there is no replacement for displacement and that as a result a stock Z has a lot more room for improvement hp wise that a stock Megan.

 

Also on the OT that was a really low thing to do...hope the justice (or at least insurance) system catches up the perpetrator.
