Try the Positive wire to the injectors. If you have a spark then there must not be any fuel getting to the cylinders. check that one of the two wires to any injector has +12 volts going to it. If it has then check the others. Also check for any signs of green residue on either the injecotr connecto or the harness connector. Good luck. MichaelZ
PTU is good & we also have fuel. Managed to get some action happening but revs are super low & had to keep pumping gas though it never really got started. From here I guess check air leaks, MAFs & FPR?
Ifs its an air leak it will be a mid size to major leak and you should be able to hear it - minor leaks often increase the idle speed whereas as stalling indicates major ones Rare that a stock FPR fails but its possible - you can check for pressure at just before the FPR (at the FPR hose using some pliers/ multigrips) - this will quickly resolve whether its a problem as any residual pressure will indicate it is fine after the pump stops The MAF is an easy test with an ohmmeter Rig up a air pressure test with a compressor at the MAF but don't push to much pressure in your you could end up pushing seals out etc. Check around the balance bar seals and rubber hose connections Check around the intake hoses If its twin turbo - check the turbo intake rubber connection hoses near the turbo's as they can leak a lot of air if they begin to fail or come loose (hard to get to - so a funnel on the end of a hose can really help in amplifying the air leaks) - also a water spray bottle with warm soapy water can really help as well Would be able to help you much more if you videotaped any / or all of the testing as we could see a lot more and then be more specific in what it may be. (don't even know if its a turbo on non turbo) Certainly TT's will be much more prone to air leak problems - what does the vacuum gauge show if turbo when trying to turn over? Mysteries are the biggest challenge - but at least you sound like your on the right track Good luck JC
Hi, I had a look at it on Monday, will do plus and clean afm and look for leaks, I'll take some coilpacks too just Incase, fpr too had one fail on one of my cars last year thanks Jc.
Hard to tell over the internet but it sounds like you have a miss. Start by checking for spark on every coilpack. Check firing order is correct too ie plugs not swapped.
Success!!! Lawrence (gimpie) came back around to help again, replaced the spark plugs, cleaned afms, pod filters, replaced fuel filter & hoses. Started up first try. We are assuming that it was the plugs since some were fouled. Thanks again Lawrence, your an absolute champ.
