I've got a 300ZXTT here. Pretty tidy thing too. And I'm starting to think about the VH45 conversion. Ultimately it would be a VH45 TT conversion, but VH45 NA would probably do. I've already done some searching, but still have a few questions And I realise they are probably very rough and open ended Has there been any already modded V8 Z's sold recently to get an idea of what they are worth? (Might just be cheaper/less stuffing around to buy one outright). Is there anyone that does a "drive in-drive out" conversion yet? Any idea on the costs? Has anyone seen a VH45 TT conversion yet?
Have you looked in the tech section and rebuild? There was a guy on here about a year ago selling vh45 engine including loom and customised engine mounts to fit the zed cross-member and he had a bit of work done to it. He was asking for $5000 at the time, i am not sure if he is still selling it or what happened with that though
There was a really nice one on carsales a few weeks ago selling for 12 grand I think. Its probably still for sale.
If you're in or nearby Sydney (profile only says NSW) contact MRC dyno and performance. They have actually done this conversion for forum member Steven.
A 4.5L turbo engine would be right on the limit for a Z32 going by the NCOP 3x multiplier for turbo engines. Do it
That was probably me.... Look at my old dad, think I got my revised asking price whatever that was. If I had my time again and *had* to do a v8 conversion it would be ls1. If not, keep the tt
cammed 6 litre with a billet turbo and solid mounted with a electric cutout straight of the dump = Lyrsergic. It surges along on the cam rocking you back and forth in the seat. so awesome the butt hurt that thing put on trailer bitches at the drags oh and before you go swapping out the VG30DETT i believe its the fastest nissan motor used in a drag car. 6.4 seconds at the moment.
This VQ pipped it by a bee's dick , But as you imply nothing wrong with the VG https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCNQCyQAegU
