heheh yer, I was quite specific about what they needed and had previously had great work done by kmart auto in the city. To be fair they didnt charge me anything and had a damn good go @ it. Going to nissan to have them swapped out, called ahead and confirmed everything, should be done next week
Is what Ive got for my TT 93, but I have AHG nissan telling me they dont fit..... Someone is wrong here.
seems the state wide bearings PDF has an error in it, nissan double checked the part number and measurements against their own parts db and its the wrong size completely. Good news is, sourcing the bearings through nissan AHG is only $150 each - not as bad as others suggested (ie 250+).
part number: 4237 for the rear wheel bearings. Seems I was provided 4432 *shrug* shit happens. statewidebearings was good about it and nissan checking and confirming the wrong part number solved me a fair bit of hassle. The pdf is incorrect, so dont use it as your reference for TT rear wheel bearings else you will find yourself in my situation.
what a saga, Nissan calls back with apologies, turns out the mechanic was working on the wrong end of the car...... Part number is correct (ffs) and so is the pdf.
well after nissan checked the back wheels turns out the parts are indeed wrong. Meaning, that the pdf does seem to be incorrect back n forth, try again monday.
if anyone wants rear or front bearing assemblies. I have 2 sets of used front bearings and a set of TT and a set of NA rear hub assemblies.
TT wheel Bearing assembly The outer housing is the outer race of the bearing. Previous thread Managed to buy one from Nissan Australia part number is 43281-AA300 FOR LEFT REAR AND 43280-AA300 FOR RIGHT HAND REAR.
well after chasing up AHG 2x just to get my ****ing price they finally let me know "whoops, we quoted the wrong price - $500 a set". So, no ****ing shit sherlock we all knew that apart from the guys @ AHG nissan. AHG is getting me the measurements etc and I will source them again via SWB but this time confirming measurements etc and not just part numbers. Still 3 weeks of chasing parts is nothing compared to the 8 months tom @ PZP dicked me around while waiting for him to swap an engine. Soldier on. Hopefully I'll be back soon with the ACTUAL part number for SWB, ACTUAL measurments etc from AHG and be able to order the right part finally.
Would it be worth while drawing up the outer housing as tony has shown and modifying it to suit a press fit bearing. I'm sure ther would be a bearing out there to suit the application.
So far Nissan has told me: Wrong Part "4432-rear". Right Part.- wrong end of car (mechanic Working on right end of car - wrong part. You need part "4237- front" to fit the rear (contradicted by your second email). So, Called up then. The parts guy is going to oversee this one personally. Getting SWB to reorder again, if any issues with them fitting then we shall take some photos etc and finally work out who has the wrong info. What a saga.
What was the outcome of this? I got a price on genuine bearings; I can do front for $70/side and rear for $300/side
Just got the latest update today: Sigh. I'll send rob260 a pm about his bearings. http://www.conceptzperformance.com/search.php?search=rear+wheel+bearing+z32+twin+turbo Looks like I can source them from CZP as well. My only concern is american model vs jap spec. Can any one confirm they have not shifted the hand brake cable ?
Same or not by the time you convert to $AUD those cost more than I quoted, and you still need to get them here from the USA...
Rear TT wheel bearings are the same for US and JDM. What about Z1 at $176US ? http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=3700
same in US & Japsec are the same - confirmed. Double checking with http://www.z1motorsports.com/ atm. To many places claim its the TT bearing and **** it up.
$556.53 AUD from http://www.z1motorsports.com/ Thanks for the info, they confirmed via email that these are indeed to suite the TT. Hopefully the end of this saga and then onto the next.
