    Hi Guys,

Ill say sorry in advance for the large pics, but I though larger pics = better detail therefore hopefully work out where the leak is.

The zed has been sitting for a while only getting driven once a month since I stopped using it as the daily. I walked outside today and noticed it was obviously a little upset with the lack of attention its been getting so it decided to wet itself as you can see below:

Now im trying to work out where this bloody leak is coming from, ive taken another two pics one looking down from the top of the radiator to where to bottom hose is and one from underneath the car showing the obvious signs of leakage.

At first I thought it may be a small hole in the lower radiator hose as the coolant is coming from this general area, more specifically directly in the middle beneath where the engine fan is. From looking at the pics does this seem to be the case or is there another coolant hose other than the lower hose around there? When you run the car you can see it dripping small drops of green coolant which obviously means as the water is circulating through the hoses/radiator it is leaking from somewhere, just where I don't know?

As always appreciate the help guys.

from your description water pump, but it could be bypass hoses as well, either way you will check all 3 at the same time. get someone to pressure test the system you will soon find it

Just buy the powder glue from autobatn and put it in your rad and it will seal up the leak that's what I did for my water pump n it's been 2 years since then

Or do the job properly. That stuff is a dodgy arse fix and will come back to bight you. Just find the leak and fix it once.

If you follow the top radiator hose it goes into an alloy piece on the motor - behind the alloy piece is where the two bypass hose are - they are about 8cm long

They are hard to see - given you think the leak is near the centre fan - this is likely where the leak is.

Pressurising the system can help you locate it - but you may not have the gear to do it.So if you wipe all the excess coolant up then put lots of paper in there so its stuck in there and start it up - the paper will absorb the coolant if the leak is there and give you the indicator you need to confirm it

I agree with Twin Terror - do it once and do it properly - you don't need shit in there interfering and blocking with your passages and water pump.

Thanks ill have a crack at doing this over the weekend and see how it goes, I may post back with a few more questions, as for putting anything in the radiator I don't believe in those cheap fixes - the only thing thats going in my rad is coolant and water!!

    Hey mate,

Yeah got the issue resolved, it ended up being a split in one of the small bypass hose into the block from the small hard pipes that connect to your radiator inlet and outlet. Its not a hard fix to do so I suggest you do it yourself if you can and this is infact the same issue.

Unfortunately for me I was short of time when this happened so I had to pay a mechanic and it cost me a nice $300 to fix...
