Completely agree with this. $15000 would be what I would be asking for it. Not everyday you come across one in such original/mint condition.
Thanks badxtc, Nauraushaun, Blissfully. Good to see people appreciating! It's pretty amazing how much better these cars are in so many aspects than a lot of modern cars for this price. I am aware of course that while said modern cars are pretty boring in comparison, they need a lot less upkeep. I know that if I keep this car I will want to put a lot of time and money into preventative maintenance. My path has changed and I just can't commit to doing that anymore, and I don't have the space for two cars. Keeping this as my only car is not good, because there's no way that I can do everything in it, I don't even like taking it to the supermarket because I would be devastated if someone opened their door into the original paint. I certainly can't take the dog in it. What I need now is something common enough that I don't care if it gets dog hair or sand in it or a scratch! Nice BMW isn't the answer either. $4000 car. I would struggle with a hyundai or corolla or something. Perhaps a BMW e36. I would take a trade in if anyone has something of interest. Indeed, and it was a fair try
What its worth and what you get for it, are two different things. Its easy for anyone to say you will get lots - but reality is a different world and you sound keen to sell soon. We are looking at photo's as well and that is only half the story. TT's have gone for below $4,500 before in good nick - I bought mine for $4,500. Two Zeds just sold for $1,500 on this forum admittedly that weren't fantastic like this one but they did have lots of cool gadgets too. I don't want to dismay you, its great if you can get 12k but its not likely to happen unless your prepared to wait for the buyer that is looking for a collectors piece as anyone else will see it as an early Z. I hope you get what you want for it in the end - at least there is a 7k offer already which is more than what I said anyway. There is no harm in listing it and starting higher - crikey - there are a few around that want 25K for there stock verts and I think yours is better than theirs! Good luck with the sale!
^WHS. If you actually want to sell, price will be a determining factor versus what its "worth". If you have time, advertise high and wait, if not then its whatever a buyer will give you.
if the next time we see your Z its sitting low with a veilside body kit, I'm suspecting there will be a lynchin a happen'in. hasnt been a good ol lynchin in these parts in a few yar's now. edit: great car btw. not that stock really does it for me, but respect for the condition!
