VIC 2014 Goldfields cruise, 23rd March

It's time for the annual Goldfields cruise again.

For those who haven't been on a Goldfields run yet, last year's post event discussion can be found HERE

The highlight of last years cruise was the Rod museum in Castlemaine so we're including that again this year.


9.00 AM, MELBOURNE CREW MUSTER.
Todd road Servo as usual, depart 9.30 AM.

GEELONG / SOUTHWEST CREWS MUSTER.
Guys, insert time and place >> HERE << if you need to.
Or just aim for the Gisborne meet up as outlined below.

9.00 BENDIGO AND CENTRAL VIC CREW MUSTER.
9.15 AM depart from Bunnings, Kangaroo Flat. Heading for Gisborne to meet the Southern crews.

10.00 AM, CALTEX SERVO, 4 STATION ROAD GISBORNE
All crews meet up here. Depart 10.30

10.45 MOUNT MACEDON.
Memorial Cross on top of Mt. Macedon, at the top end of Cameron Drive.
Depart 11.30

12.15 CASTLEMAINE CBD.
Lunch. Depart 1.15

1.30 ROD HADFIELD'S ROD MUSEUM, CASTLEMAINE. Entry fee is $5.00
644 Pyrenees Highhay, Chewton. Arrive 1.45 - 2.00 PM, depart whenever we like.
Rod Hadfield will give us a guided tour and tell us the back story on the rods he has on display.
The tour takes around 1 hour. Then we'll get Rod talking about his salt lake racing efforts

Some Southern members will likely head for home after the museum.

I love the Goldfields cruise, and last years one was just spectacular. But with baby due last week of March, being a few hours drive from home just isn't wise. I'll have to miss this one. Hope you guys have a fantastic time...

and been looking into getting a GoPro, turns out there is a setup for doing GoPro in 3D......
seriously, how awesome would a set of our beautiful Victorian twisties or a convoy of Z's filling the freeway look in 3D, definately want that setup before next (or current ) GOR

Im having to withdraw from the cruise!
I have to be somewhere else on that day, buma, have a great day out.
I was looking forward to taking the convertible for a run, and showing it to you guys

unfortunately the day clashes with my racing calendar, it was clear but fires in the region caused a postponement to your chosen w/end.

Well I'm definitely coming please don't cancel this I need some Z overdosing since i missed the last cruise due to my thumb.

 

I'll try make it, will bring the Yasjet or I'll passenger with someone

 

I'm out, my alternator died, can only do short trips until I fix it else I'd run out of electricity.

Might just charge up the car and come to the Todd Road meet, then go home

 

Guys, we're down to just 5 on the list. I'm fine with postponing / rescheduling the cruise

I've spoken to Rod Hadfield about the diminished numbers for the museum tour.
He won't lay down and cry if we pull out but he would like to know by tomorrow morning.

( The museum is not always open, it's usually by appointment on a Sunday )

 

Im still, not fussed on smaller numbers, but its your cruise Mick its up to you what you wanna do?
