finding a replacement clip is a pain.

most people just get central locking installed and just ignore that clip.

Like most tasks on these cars, it's somewhat of a bugger of a job because you can't get your fingers to where clips goes. Naturally it's door card off, throw in a small, bright torch facing upwards, fish out the rod that'll be rattling around inside the door thanks to the original clip having broken. Fit the new clip noting the correct orientation then, place an empty swear jar on the ground below the door & grab your long nose pliars & your favourite long, slim screw driver.
Pliars with clip on rod through main access hole, screw driver through the hole in the door frame which lets you see most of the lock assembly (usually covered by a bung). May need your X-ray glasses with fully charged batteries. When the clip gets lined up with other rod it needs to clip on to, the screw driver is used to do the clipping together. Swear jar will probably overflow so keep on a flat surface & then just sit back & wait for the brittle, secondhand clip that you just spent ages fitting to break!
If anyone knows the part number for these rotten clips, please post!

    +1 to aazn's comment.

I went through all of this clip replacing, found the easiest way to do it was to take the door handle itself off (2 x 10mm nuts) holding it. You can then access behind the lock barrel quite easily. Lengthy operation and then my car got broken into which totally screwed the lock barrel. Disconnected the lock barrel rod and installed central locking which is also a theft prevention in itself  these cars are way too easy to break into with the stock lock barrel in place.

Z1MotorSports do, they also sell the yellow LHD passenger clip second hand which is obviously our RHD drivers side if you must have OEM. :p

As mentioned on the alloy replacement page, the clip is not available sepratly from Nissan, you need to buy a complete door handle.
