My fuel pump is loud when I first start the car In the morning sounds like an aeroplane turbine, does this mean it aftermarket or on its way out.

It can often indicate imminent failure although some FP's just keep on pumpin'. Good idea to read up on the bypass method and have wire + diagram in the car just in case you get caught out, in woop woop.

I had. Mine about that noisey too!! It was like at a point of nearly buying ear muffs, bear in mind a new pump will b quiter, but I put a new one in, and they r still pretty noisey, as the fuel pump in a 2+0 is right behind ur head!

    fuel pump

I would buy another stock one the one in there lasted 20 plus years. In my last TT i replaced mine with a brand new stock pump.

A bosch 044 pump is good choice if youre going to upgrade the injectors in the future.

tassuperkart Its a lie I tell you!

An 044...? Nope. They are external (out of tank pumps). Perhaps your thinking an 040?
Complete and utter WOFTAM in an NA no matter how hot its tuned.
Stock or stock replacement is more than adequate and anything else is just for the sake of it.
