I was wondering if anyone had experience in vinyl wrapping cars. Im thinking of getting the z done. The 2 things that worry me are how well it lasts and the cost.

As far as what the design will be that bit i haven't worked out yet. My thoughts at the moment are something like an old plane with riveted together panels. Im just chasing something different.

    Cheers

We had a falcon Ute at work that was wrapped and after 2 years there was a lot of cracks in it on the roof and bonnet. looked awesome at the start was a major PITA to get off after 2 years

Do you know if they use 3m stuff or another brand? 3m appears to have a 5 year warranty and that has me interested. Also was the car always out in the weather?

    I have wrapped cars before.

    A) its a prick of a job
    B) that warranty really only covers the materials adhesive. The stuff does fade and crack over time. Especially in the aussie sun. I have cf textured wrap on my window trim and middle targa bar, and the heat has shrunk the wrap visibly. It has been on for about 2 years.

Vinyl wrapping your car is expensive if not diy, hard to do, and looks crap up close in real life.
