So long story short i did burnouts at work and now i cant get my car in gear.

But ive been having troubles in this department before, let me explain my story.

I always had problems with the clutch/gearbox. For example sometimes i wouldnt be able to get it out of reverse or into first. And pretty much always when i down shift from 5 to 4 it was always a struggle te get it into 4th. The clutch never slipped while driving though, which lead me to think it might be the synchros.

Now after the incident i can get it into some gears while the car is off, but its a struggle. When the car is running, no chance.

So fellow zedders. Is it the clutch or is it the synchros??? Or have i sent my car to zed heaven?

This could be the result of a bent shift rod and/or fork, though I've never seen that happen to a vg30 tranny.

Another cause could be in the shifter linkage. My brother's gti-r has a similar issue not going well into 3rd. When I rebuild that tranny the gears, forks and synchro's were in perfect condition but the lever H profile system that sits inside the tranny itself tended to misalign off center in between the 1st and 3rd gear linkage. Makes it kinda hard to 'find' 3rd gear.

Get a one piece clutch line made up . From your master straight to your slave .. then your problems will go away . Get rid of the rest of the crap thats there .

Could also be the shifter support bush thing. Has the shifter dropped at all?

To do the clutch line you need a new one piece line, can be bought from UAS, or have them made at a hydraulic shop. Less than $100. If you get one from the US it will be too long.

Its just a line take the car in to pertek or alike . And get them to out one in for you . I would say about 120 150$

so a bit of an update on the situation.

A friend got it into gear by starting it in gear and he tried driving it but it wont budge, it just sounds like a cement mixer.......so im guessing clutch, but idk

the clutch allows you to disengage the gearbox from the motor, if you started it in gear and it wont budge it is not the clutch, your gearbox is toast or you have selected 2 gears at the same time, sounds like a selector fork issue or worse.

Soo then im guessing best thing to do would be to just change ot both the clutch and tranny??

Given the fact that you have to remove the Transmission to get at the Clutch/Pressure Plate, it would seem to suggest that once you have established whether the Clutch is screwed(or not)then the Transmission is your problem area.
A good rule is to "never remove the Transmission unless you replace the Clutch at the same time"(it saves a lot of heartache down the track).

    Two rules to remember are:

"If it can go wrong, IT WILL",

    and,
"The chances for "things to go wrong" is directly proportional to the amount of trouble they will cause when they do".:br:

tassuperkart Its a lie I tell you!

In the OP, the issues of trouble getting into gear clearly tell me the synchros are just fine.

Having trouble pulling OUT of gear tells me that either the clutch hydraulics are needing attention (dragging clutch from insufficient throwout) OR that the clutch facings have split and are "hanging" on the pressure plate/flywheel faces.
Ive had this before. For just no reason the car would refuse to come out of gear and sometimes even creep forward. Eventually, a segment of the facings broke away and jammed up under the next segment and the clutch refused to release at all.

I actually think you have munted the clutch.

Do another burnout and see if the problem goes away. I do this with all my zed issues
