300zx aromafine.... Rare???

hey guys and girls i have a jap import and i have a looks to be factroy nissan aromafine under where cd player goes. built into this is a little draw for coins and a pull out smelly stick mmmm haha i also have a spare in glove box in its own tub with jap writing and a part number. I have searched fourms and googled and cant find another so wondering who else has this is it a rare factroy option??

I haven't seen what you have before but I have a feeling is it just something the previous owner bought and installed, could be wrong though.

I know Toyota had a very similar option for the Japanese market. Wouldn't surprise me if it was oem.

It does have nissan part numbers so im not shore if my local nissan will find it as its a import.

it is 57150 71005 then says 08-s then calsonic japan any help lol i really just wont to find out who else has one and if it is a rare item. cheers Tristan

I guess because it has a Nissan part number, there is a good chance it was an option.

The Toy Black300zx has one of these in his car. It's a 2+2 TT auto, 89 I think.

 

It was a dealer-fit option, not factory. You can still find entire units on the auctions every now and then.

 

This may help that situation !

It is a genuine Nissan option and probably would of been factory fitted.

The images below show the unit, sub harness and fragrance refill, there appear to be 3 different fragrances, although it was probably original supplied and fitted with 10 of one fragrance KA931-89925.

Definitely rare and interesting but alas you will need to keep your day job.
