I don't want to blow you all away? But I guess ill have to film mine now when it's out next,

All I know is full throttle =death to other cars lol

maybe you should open your eyes , or have them checked may as well do your ears as well while your at it

 

It's got some guts left in the mufflers, you can hear them rattling around

Also, if you put on a Magnaflow system it will still be raspy. Mikez32's is. All those cars except for the GTR are NA as well.

 

Magnaflow is the same raspy sound is it? I like the sound I have so I have no real push to go buying anything else. Ill look in to magnaflow though later down the track to fix up the rattley sound. I don't want it too loud though! Only up to as loud as mine is now. The bit that makes it comfortable to drive is there is no deep droney sound to it, so it's great for daily use. I put my old on the other day to compare, I tell you what, I've never had a more uncomfortable drive! That deep sound that everyone seems to like just bellowed through the cabin! I was quite embarrassed driving around actually.

I don't get the fascination with the deep loud sound? I must be missing something? Everyone that has that type of exhaust says they can't drive for too long without getting a headache.....including you Alex....

 

Not that raspy, but somewhat. Go and talk to a good exhaust shop about it.

i have a bad neck and a bad back ,( from kick boxing and a bad motor bike accident and as a passenger in a huge car accident i had years ago ) i get headaches in general not because of my exhaust it does not matter if im driving my zed the VE cluby TT or my audi , all the same shit to me . and in all honesty im getting a lot better , from a good weekly BAD headache to one BAD one here and there and the small headache are some what gone ,

Tbh Cam, I've never met you, nor even spoken to you on the forum, but from what I have seen from you and other forum members who give you hell about your choices with the Z, it may not be about keeping it stock rather than exhaust note, but that must play a big factor.

You've always had this big thing about having a stock Z, that now, even if you thought about modifying it, you wouldn't because of the shit storm that would follow.

Its your Zed, and I respect the condition you've kept it in, but I personally don't think the stock exhaust sounds good at all.
But hey, in 20 years, yours will be worth a lot more than mine.

 

Lets set the record straight here.

1) I was claiming the cleanest zed in melbourne (as in clean) not freshly painted, not modified, not completely restored...just clean. You cant say its not, it gets washed, polished/waxed almost daily!

2) I painted the front bar, spoiler, rear bar and front right fender....you tell me thats not a damn good job! better than your paint can job on yours *cough cough. This was just a "for now" thing until I get a full respray.

3) Mines a 93' and dint not include AIV's and included EGR. I see no gain or lose in removing the EGR>>refer to the endless arguments on this matter

4) When did I say the best exhaust system in the southern hemisphere? I showed people what exhaust Sound I have and wanted others to show theirs, which didn't happen and It was all about saying how shit my exhaust is. Everyone wants the deep note and I don't, so what? I showed examples of porsches that have the raspy sound I like and that was why I Like mine as It stands now.

5) When I ever claim Mine was rare? Yes its an Aus-Spec so I was able to find a great example with all the books, service stamps from new, and the all receipts retained since new. I claim that yes thats a good find, and that not every zed has all its books and receipts. You don't usually get that with Jap-Spec.

6) Yes it does run very smooth with 250K's on the clock! You have never been in my car so you cant comment on that. Its had a great life and has never been owned by a young "fully sick do skids everywhere" kid.

Yes your right Alex I feel like I am always fighting and giving reasons for the things I choose to do or not do to my car. Everyone on here seems to be sheep and follow each other around. If one says this is the way to go they will all follow, and not at any point have half a brain to figure out what they actually want for their car...The term is Fashions on the field.

This forum is full of politics and wank factor. Rat with a golden tooth. You are all very quick to say how s#$t someone else's car if its against the grain and not following the crowed. I dont want my Zed eating dirt cos its so low, I dont want to worry about if there is any speed bumps in a 30 mile radius, I dont want a loud, deep, droney exhaust that blows your head apart on every drive, I dont want a brace on everything, I dont want -20 blooming camber on my wheels, and a dont want my ride to be rock solid and break my spin when I go for a drive!

Im just starting to realise that I was far more happier with my zed before I came on here! And it shouldn't be like that! Everyone has there own opinions on what looks good and/or sounds good. I didnt come on here to be told my car is S#$t and everything is wrong on it (even though its basically stock), I didnt post my car up the other day to be told its not clean and its S#$t after all my hard efforts, I didnt post up my exhaust note to get opinions on it, its what i like, cant handle that? dont comment!... Seriously considering leaving this forum!

If you weren't so shallow minded, bracing parts of the car does change the handling of the car. You don't need to be on a race track to feel or benefit from these modifications. Put strut braces on your car and tell me that they're not beneficial and you don't like them.
