Selling a stock but chipped ecu.

    - recently chipped.
    - should be set up for stock tt with na fpcu running a stock tt fuel pump.
    - not sure about fuel mapping or timing setup

    - should be stock injectors
    - might be set up for high flows?

has socket but might want to get it chipped for your setup.

not sure what the chip is or who chipped it. i doubt it would be nistune

    asking $150

A chipped ecu cannot be a "nistune", nistune is a daughter board that attaches to the standard ecu and allows realtime editing of the eprom through the same interface as nissan consult. Of course you'd know this since you're advertising "ecu remapping" right?

That ecu you have is a for a TT manual using a TT fuel pump but NA fuel pump controller... also, you'll need it to run your car.

    thanks,,

I'm still learning about this ecu mapping logic.

I don't do any 'mapping' myself, but I've advertised it because there are a lot of guys that come into work, and they want to put in bigger injectors and mod their cars, and when I ask if they are modding their ecu they have no idea what i am talking about.

theres a huge gap in the geelong import scene and we really need a business here that is trustworthy and can do good work on imported cars.

so basically if anyone needs a chip made i can get one made up if they gave me details of all their mods, but i wouldnt do it myself, and I'm not really a huge fan of advertising too much on the forum because most people here would already know what, and how to do things anyway. but if they don't they can hit me up and with all the bullshit that I have gone through with the Zed, at least I have actually worked a few things out too. so its not all bad...

I'm getting another chip made up that takes into account a lot of other things such as the high flows and the fact i'm running front mount as opposed to side mounts, plus I'll either change to tt fpcu or just bypass it, so I think i'll get a chip made up i know more about, because i don't know enough details about this chip, or even what fuel its set up for, since most are chipped for lesser octane fuels, but I can still use 100 octane since theres a place in Corio that sells it.

best to be safe than sorry, make sure the ecu is set up properly for my Z and i know everything about it, might also help when i finally get my head around teh Conzult software.

I'd recommend it get rechipped, but you should do that anyway if you are wanting to run a chipped ecu.

You don't need to "tune" for having a front mount (you have sidemounts anyway) or for having hiflows. The car will still run fine on the stock maps. All intercoolers do is cooldown the air making it denser and therefore allowing more oxygen and more boost into the combustion chamber.

In not saying the car won't run with the chip not 100% tuned, but its not ideal.

I think I will listen to a well knowledgable and experienced tuner and take his advice about how a chip should be set up over yours. Not to be rude.

    Can do 120 + post.
Of you want it, pm me. Where is the logic in me pm'ing you? I'm not begging for you to buy it o0
Also not meaning to be rude Matt.

your "well experienced" tuner should also be advising you that you're flogging a dead horse with that motor. All the sugar coating aside, its farked.

Keep your ECU and get the motor running as is. No point spending more $$$ on a custom tune with compression results that low.

Wayne. I'm going to move your product feedback/Facebook links into another thread mate. Fs section is purely for the sale of parts you own. Eg, the ecu.

Also, will be tidying up this thread. Do you wish me to keep the ecu info chitchat from lico, or transfer it else where for you to keep discussing.

Just can't have all this going on here.

    Awaiting your response.

Not to be rude but mate the factory ECU has the capability of adjusting for the mods you have described. You would really only need it tuned if fitting larger injectors.

If you don't know this then you really are the last person that should advertising an ECU tuning service. Again no offence intended, but you could well be digging yourself a big hole going into this under prepared and under informed...

Your exactly right. I am the last person, but not the worst person to talk to about it. A guy came into work wanting to put in much larger injectors but wasn't going to change the ecu mapping. I have him a number to call so he can talk to someone and understand what he needs to do and that you can't change the injectors alone.

The ecu I bought is set up for larger injectors so it will need to be changed.

I would only be point of sale if anything, anyone would need to speak to the tech to discuss what would be needed.

It's just a project. Might not happen but I think we need a decent z centre

    completely agree.

    basically, and I mean "Basically"

if for example, I had 10 people wanting to buy a set of ams coilovers (for example because of price)

the coilovers cost 699 on the american market.
if I had 10 people wanting coilovers then I can have them imported and offer them for 799, or if i'm reaaallly generous, $749, so you will only need to pay $50 on the american prices.

It doesnt have to be coilovers, and it doesnt have to be all 300zx parts, since its obvious that there is Not a huge market for 300zx parts in australia despite what you all think.
every time offers come up you all get excited about it but noone ends up buying anything.
there is a bigger market in the 370z parts market, and a guy that came into work was telling me how he payed just as much for a 370z body kit to import it from the states as the kit cost itself.

I could get that body kit here for a fraction of the cost.

you want a $800 kit, you pay 800 freight yourself.
if i get consistant orders, I can sell you that bodykit for 900 or an even grand.

the possibility is there, but no bs with group buys and special fully sick end of financial year specials etc.

surely at any one point there would be enough people in the australian Z scene (300, 350 370, gtr, skyline, silvia etc etc) that would be considering buying over 5k collectively from the states each week, but you don't because you dont' want to pay collectively 5k to ship it all in.

if you want ecu's, go to toshi, if your not a forum member i will suggest where you should go, Not do it myself.

the options are there that if you want to get yourselves together and import bulk orders of parts from the states without getting upset about waiting periods then its highly likely that I could get parts from only slightly more than prices in the states.

but thats only if things work out with the project and people genuinely are interested in ams gear, although I've been trying to get in contact with other suppliers to see what rates they could also do on their parts.

its rediculous that a country as big as australia, and that spends as much money on cars as australians do, are still being raped by international freight prices.

Buy Collectively, Save Collectively! its that simple.

Sanouske, I appologise for responding in this thread after you have told me that its not the place.
I'm more than happy for anything I write to be moved to wherever is best.

    edit:
and parts don'e even have to be delivered to Geelong. if there was an order for 6k of parts all from western australia, I can put in an order that can be delivered to a recipient there. likewise Melbourne, NSW, or darwin. there are a number of AMS distributors in australia and more than are just on this forum or that you would all be aware of.

I honestly think its a good business plan that can benifit the scene. but you guys will be the consumers so its pointless me trying to get decent prices and contacting suppliers if you arent going to support the idea.

    Tim,
You really think I would be advertising ams gear and promoting their products without talking to them about business?

Come on man, I've got a masters degree in architecture. We are trained to deal with multi million dollar international projects and partnerships that put things like what I'm proposing to shame.

We do learn more than just drawing houses you know,,,

Not to mention I'm also running my own architecture/ drafting business and already have had an abn I've been using for years running businesses as a sole trader. If the z centre project takes off I'd need to register separately though as a new entity.

    It's all sorted man.
If I had enough interest, I could put in the first order tomorrow, and just to see if it will work, I'd do it for no profit....

    So long story short.
    Yes, yes I have -_-
