Alternator Install

    Hi People

    Have a problem, when attaching plug to back of alternator, which is positive and negative on cord, both are attached to the main lead is the lead closest to the plug positive or negative....

    Do you have a test light? If in doubt reconnect battery and check which one has power.

    has the wire come out of plug ?

    Oh also positive is a bigger stud, the connector should be the larger of the two. Also on mind the positive lead has a brown sheath.

    I believe he's talking about the ring connectors that bolt to the "battery" and "earth" studs
