I had to pull my swaybar to change my alternator, and I figure while I'm at it I may as well clean and re grease the D bushes prior to reinstalling. I use Nulon extreme for just about everything http://www.nulon.com.au//products/Specialty_Products/Extreme_Performance_Grease/#.URCpGucayc0 but it seems to be a fair bit thicker than what is currently on the bushes. Any suggestions?
IIRC moly complex grease, so it doesnt eat the bush out (make soft or swell) Also wrap the bar in good quality teflon tape (pink thread tape is what i use) then grease. As the teflon will help with slippage/movement on the bush (stop squeaks).
I'd used greased lightening, from all the reviews ive seen i hear it gets the money... you know it'll get the money... and you will not give a shit coz you'll really get some tits with greased lightening
SuperPro have a grease specifically for polyurethane. http://www.superpro.com.au/whats-new/blog/item/58-new-formula-slippery-stuff-superpro-grease Polyurethane Solid Bar and Polyurethane Bushing Grease.pdf
Yes, wrap bar with teflon tape and use white grease to lube. Not sure if it's zinc or lithium, the grease which comes with the bushes.
