    Hey guys,
Last week as I was driving a noticed a bit of smoke coming from the car, when I pulled over to have a look I noticed a leak coming from the tailshaft/gearbox point and have since removed it and I'm ready to put a new seal in. Just before I put it back together, is there anything else that would cause a leak from this point of the gearbox?

    Thanks

and what size is this seal roughly? My dad went to see if he could source one locally and he found one but isn't too sure that its the right one

no the seal is your only line of defence. give the shaft a clean with steel wool or fine emery on the seal contact area to remove any burs
"goes without saying check the seal is a good fit on the shaft"
