Camera didn't focus on the hose, but this is the passenger side near the steering arm. If you notice, there is one lonely hose left not connected to anything! should it be? or is it a drain line?

What throws me off is the fact that the other two hoses are connect to each other and one just left open ended, seems odd

It's simply there to stop the wire getting kinked and to give it some support. They are just taped beside the wire from factory. Nothing out of the usual.

Isn't that the wire from the Oil pressure sensor?

Where did ryzan say that it should have a wire "inside it"?
You are going to be asking one Hell of a lot more stupid questions, if you don't accurately read the answers you are given.:eek::br:

So maybe you should accurately read posts?

And yes thank you Ryan, There are "wires" inside, and that tube does seem to be on the inside to give support, and its just split and poking out like seen in the pic....Cheers

Chili is actually right, there's no wires inside it it's simply just a thin rubber tube that is placed next to the wire then taped on at factory. What's it really matter though at the end of the day?

ps. Thanks button is to the right ;)

    Thanks mate,

Technically speaking there is the hose with the wire along side it like you say, which is "inside" another outer plastic wrap...This is why i used the term "inside"....Didnt know certain people where going to nit pick on words [TIS]

I still think the tube is for a drain and not there to stop kinks ect. If it was to stop kinks it would of been taped all the way but it always stops before the hose ends

Ezzups correct. Is a drain hose should the sender leak oil.

It exits like so to stop oil from tracking along the wiring and into somewhere it shouldn't.

For example. Pajero and discos have this oil tracking wire issue as the wires that control the injectors and other crap pass through the rocker covers... Oil enters its sheathing and finds its way at the ecu.

    Nissans way of being proactive.

Lol you been pressing it overtime have you haha. No worries. You can for non required preventative measures make sure it's clean. The tube. When I did an engine swap and worked it all out, the tube was blocked with road grime. I used some parts cleaner to clean it out. But it's really not required. Lol.

I wouldn't be so sure about that, should the ops leak, it's simply going to run down to the lowest point via both the tube and 1 wire that runs to the ops. The tube isn't really connected to anything at the other end and doesn't have a funnel or anything fancy like that to collect and drain oil.

Today, I've only hit the thanks button twice lol... Sometimes if I only click once for the day that's it... The button disappears, or it's sometimes not there lol

It's my guess that your "Thanks" button has gone missing, along with your "Apology" button(or perhaps...you have just misplaced your glasses).:rolleyes:
Probably due to your inability to figure out what all three items are for.:(:br:

Whatever happened to 'If you've got nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all?'
