Just fantastic, the amount of effort :O I love that you kept the little 300ZX things, the t-tops, the rims. It's a (really) weird twist on the fact that it's a hotrod
We will take some more closer photo`s of the gas system and post them in the next couple of days , the only thing with running straight gas is you need to let the motor idle and get some warmth in the water system when its started from dead cold the gas converter needs heat to covert the liquid gas to vapour , if you just jump in and try and drive it with rev`s first up it will stall the liquid gas is freezing the system up , you only need a little heat for the system to work fine .
Thanks you would be surprised how much of the ZX we used the more that would plug and play the better even used the electric aerial [/IMG]
Fantastic And why not? You've got all that stuff just sitting there... Hang on, are those Z31 t-top panels?
Yes they are , they were the right shape and the fact we had a whole roof hanging on the shed wall right were the whole ZX32 roof off our donor car is now hanging waiting for some other project to show up and talking all parts ZX did you notice that the out side rear view mirrors are from the ZX too
You hit the nail right on the head my friend thought we just had a very pretty garden ornament a few times there , the first time through the ICV system is a confusing frustrating and some what scary ride , i`m in no hurry to go through the ICV process again anytime soon but would if i needed too seeing we know how it works now and what is required , and YES BIGGGGGGGGGG SMILE .lloyd
this has got to be the coolest thing i've seen done to a zed. what's even more amazing is how well the stuff actually fits together. it's so strange looking into a 49 merc yet the inside is a 300ZX we're all used to. mind f**k hat tip to you sir.
Cant believe this is in Rockhampton area, soooooooooooooooooo unique!! A few of us Rocky Z'ers should go for a cruise with you guys on Sunday or something, I GOTTA see this thing!! Well done, nice & original idea, only one in the world!!
Were Happy to meet other rocky Z`ers we will be calling Ryan friday night to sort out somthing this weekend he wants to see the car as well as Josh who we have meet through Ryan and we got a spare motor and turbo`s off him to fix the turbo on our car . So we`ll see what gets sorted out Mate . Lloyd
Thank you , and i can assure you there was some swearing involved in the project but the inside of the Z looks really good inside the Merc Body and we saved a ZX car that was in limbo .. Lloyd
Yeah will get the info from Ryan, would really like to meet you guys too!! One thing I have to ask, did you do the paint yourself?
Very very cool. I really appreciate the amount of work you've poured into this. Truly a work of art. Kudos to you and your helpers.
Yeah at least now we got the ball rolling for our area & hopefully next time when can get a few more Z owners come along. It's definitely lit a fire under my azz to get some cosmetic work done on our Z!!
