i didnt know if this should go in technical or non tech so i chucked it in here.

in the future like a fair few years from now i want a car that i will be a able to make some serious power out of, i know the vg can make some good power but is there any point chasing power with one, or is it better to move towards something like a r33 gtr or a tt toyota supra ?? what is peoples oppinions would really like some good input on this topic

I can't give you much advice on whether the VG would be worth it or not, but.....

I will admit to you that I am a 2JZ fanboy :D and in my opinion I would go the 2J straight away, not that there is anything wrong with a VG30, Its just because 2JZ's are so much easier to work on than a VG.

Im sure with right mods the VG would make just as much power as the mighty 2JZ.

If all you want is power the VG will do it fine. No point doing a engine conversion, for the price of a installed 2J with some minor mods you could have a 400rwkw VG.

Buy a skyline, they're the commodore of the import industry.

I like the second one. I've still got a soft spot for clean S2 R33 GTS-T's. That one would go alright with the 3076 too!

They are very different to Zeds. Sit a lot higher, more airy cabin with all that glass. Interior is pretty cheap and nasty. The spool sounds good with a pod though haha :br:

VG30 is a better platform than the RB motor in terms of more torque, more displacement, stronger bottom end. RB is probably easier to work on (never had one) depending on how far you want to go.

If you just want to build a monster the Supra is pretty hard to go past...

i was probally aiming for 400+ rwkw and is it better to build a vg bottom end or go for one of these ??

Do you realise how much it's going to cost to get 400kw out of a Z? Plus it's going to be laggy as.
