Sure it looks better but now you'll have to contend with forum guys from around the world arguing whether its an XYZ model or not ha

    Shouldn't a pic of the engine bay indicate if it's a 2k or a '94 dressed up?

Depends... The late model '94's had the S3 CAS and TPS, along with electric HICAS. Really need the VIN number.

Did the whole master change or just the reservoir?

    red32 You talkin' to me?

    I'm wondering...

...why the highlight tape only extends from the front wheel arches to the rear of the doors, and not all the way around the car - front and rear bars and rear guards. This suggests to me that there has been some panel work and a re-spray (accident repair, update?). That tape is horrendously expensive, if you can find any at all. And as 'brisz' pointed out, the VIN suggests it's an NA, not a TT (maybe that's why there is no image of the engine bay in the add).

This is true, might have to avoid showing that side of the plastics

Not sure about how to hide the 99 spec front bumper though

Always got to wonder why an airbag steering wheel car no longer has an airbag steering wheel fitted... bonnet needs adjusting to sit down properly!
Also, if it is a 2k model & there's nothing dodgie about the car or its original registration - why call it a '94?

I think I know the car, it's a '94 with lots of 2k bits moved over to it. Import Factory imported a 2k car, couldn't wrangle compliance so got a good clean 94 chassis and switched everything over.

All running gear is genuine 2k.

Someone suggested it was an Australian delivered VIN, I am not sure what those VIN's look like.

But to me it looks like a compliance generated VIN per a standard, these dont decode reliably because its constructed by the complier and the way they code can be different, sometimes they will use there sequential serial number, sometimes the Jap VIN serial number end etc.

I decoded as below (already done above, but will clarify for those unsure of what I wrote.) but its very possibly inaccurate, if the car is JDM, a picture of the JDM plate would be ideal, the silver almost square one on the radiator support.

    Build: 03/90

Sorry, my mistake. I thought your earlier posting was an example.

Ive inquired with the seller to take a few more photos and to supply the jdm vin if found. That way you can search it more accurately.

Thanks Eric, needs to be considered, it would appear both Nissan Australia and compliance companies use the 17 character international standard, I am sure I have seen similar structure of VIN on an import, although mine has the word "import" as part of the 17 digit VIN code that was fitted when complied.

Do they still leave the Jap VIN plate on the Australian delivered vehicles ?

Any way even more perplexing, maybe a parts car or front cut and parts were imported and fitted to ADM car.

    ADM car $2000 (dealer)
Import cut and parts $3000 (trade cost)
Local fit and paint $1500 (trade)
    Total $6500

Could be a tidy profit, I wonder in a Main Roads history would tell you if it had a engine upgrade.

Probably getting close to what it is, a bastard child. :p

Well spotted John, wheres my money f$#@king !
