Can someone at AMS give me an idea on when this skid is going to depart, I'm not sure how much longer I can wait for the stuff I've got in their! I was told I'd have it last month!

    Hi guys,

    Skid goes out this week.

    Thanks again :)

Yeah unless we air ship (big $$$$) vessel is the only reasonable/cheap route. Our shipper states 4 weeks delivery to Australia without any delays by customs/import. wish we had a better and faster option for shipments but this is the most economical route to bulk all orders in one skid :)

Well you need to get on the people that are delaying and holding the rest of us up. At the rate we are going. This is going to take another 2 months how long have we need waiting for. And how long more till people get there parts.
Sorry mate but never again for me
You got to pay to play and if you can pay then don't play

What gets me is they are waiting for an item for their "aussie distributor".... surely they should be paying for normal postage as a legitimate business? I would hate to be the person ordering them through the distributor and being told to wait 2-3 months lol.

    odd.

80 or 90% of my parts come from coz. 2 weeks in your hand. No craps and waiting for parts for ever.

    ( damm I'm having a good bitch about ams today ain't I. Lol )

Back on the 11-10-2012 we were told 3 days to the start of the shipping.
That would have been the honorable thing to do to ship on the 14-10-2012.
To have the skip held back by 10 days or so for a single order that could be sent air is really not very good customer relations.
We do understand the cost saving in shipping via surface and the offset is a delay factor, but this does extend the delivery time.
Suppose we could call the parts we receive a christmas present to ourselves.

All I can say is patents guys they'll get here eventually.

So how much did everyone else pay for shipping?

I paid the same amount that COZ charges to have it flown here, as I didn't want to have to wait months for my order. It seems even though I didn't get part of this special shipping discount, my order has been lumped in on this skid.

Either that or this skid is f&^%$NG expensive.

This is the issue with a GB with alot of people. EZ turbo for instance secured payment from some for the covers and the rest he paid for out of pocket to not delay any further while waiting for firm commitments. The skid has been ready to go for a few days and as mentioned waiting on a part from the USA to add to the skid and it will sail. It's a definite money saver for everyone with the added hastle of the wait time.

wouldnt it have been easier to keep everyone happy and send the turbos seperately? Im sure the person/distributor wants them fast... not 5 weeks later. If you sent it seperately it would of got there quicker ;)

There were also a few payments direct to us we were waiting on as well. The turbos delayed the cast off unfortunately. Shipping anything to Australia other than Vessel is super expensive. With so many individuals and two group buys to co-ordinate payments on (the other GB was organized by EZ turbo for the covers) on one skid it's difficult to keep everyone happy. Trust me we don't like delays either ;)

but the turbos were going to YOUR distributor. If a company like you cant fork out extra to send the turbos seperately and decide to skimp out and send them via snail mail, I would question your running practices, and would think of purchasing your products from your australian distributors..... Seems like you'll do anything to save your pennies.

    ps.

are you going to make a certain member send back his testpipes due to your mistake of sending 2 right handed pipes? or are you going to make him wait 5+ weeks to get the RIGHT parts he odered. I hope you have double/triple checked everything on that skid...

Shipping to an Australian distributor in Western Australia, that,s akin to having a US distributor in Alaska...

This thread and others like it is the reason we deal exclusively through CZP. In 4 years of dealing with Coz, we have had one stuff up. Funnily enough was regarding a set of turbos holding up an order. Coz sent the rest of the order less turbos, then air freighted the turbos at his expense.

You have some good prices and budget parts that my customers often want, but shipping from Canada is ridiculous, out of your control obviously. More importantly, my customers expect a timely turn around on work, which also means getting the correct parts on time, every time.

Well I paid US$60 to have my set of coil-overs thrown in the skid, and I still have to pay for shipping from the distributor in AUS to my door. I think I would've been better to either, by from COZ, or get it sent separately.

My first and most definitely LAST purchase from AMS.

As mentioned we combined two seperate GBs here onto one skid. We definitely have zero control over the fact that Shipping across the world takes so long or is so expensive. This is by far the most economical method for those wishing to save money. Air shipping is mega $$$ from Canada to Australia. US companies have alot lower rates with USPS due to several factors one being the size of their market compared to Canada. We ship orders within 24 hrs and can do the same for our Aussie clients but as mentioned the shipping rates especially by Air are very restrictive.

The only solution which is not viable for our Aussie Distributors is to actually become a stocking agent and then there would be almost no wait times. This does take a considerable investment that no one has done thus far likely due to operating budgets.

EZturbo has invested his own funds into stocking some extra clear timing covers so that is a start ;)

We deal with CZP as well and he is far better than Z1 and others in communication and shipping. He stocks a host of AMS products as well for those interested and may be cheaper for those in a rush to order direct through CZP to save on the shipping fees. We have also shipped non-stocking AMS products to CZP for our clients so he may bulk them with clients other items for shipping to Australia and New Zealand. We have creative methods in place as well ;)

    Regards,
