No engine check light, no codes. All relevant plugs (coolant temp, fuel temp, injectors) are all brand new. Went out for 3 decent drives after this morning, all highway, car drove like a million bucks. Going to continue as planned with injector swap and hope that's the issue.
When this happened to me it ended up being the o2 sensors. It was all over the shop but if i turned it off and back on it would work most of the time. Disconnect them and see, its easy enough to do.... Noting they still showed that they were working on conzult properly even when i put new ones in it still did it. I ended up just leaving them disconnected after that and never finding the issue! Sometimes it would just work properly for weeks too.
Hey, so that's a VERY good point. 02 sensors stop inputting by 3000 RPM. Thank you, when it's back on the road if the issue returns that's the first thing I'll do. I struggle to think how that didn't cross my mind!
hi guys, what readout should an ecu talk show when an o2 sensor is unplugged? I just replaced both my o2 plugs on the loom side (they were mangled) and now one's just reading 0.
Alright. So what would be the issue if one simply read 0.00? Do you know what each of the 3 wires do individually? I'd prefer to test them with a multimeter before ripping my plenum off again to rewire them.
I just replaced the harness side plugs, all cables coming off of the replacement plugs are black... generic CZP coil pack/o2 plug.
Hang on, took that photo when I was replacing them. Clip side up, it's black, white, red. I'll compare to that and check with a meter.
So I'm reading 0.00 plugged in, 0.00 unplugged. Reckon I've wired it wrong. If I simply grab 3 spare pieces of wire and mix and match them between the plugs 'til I get a readout do I risk damaging anything?
