Alpine iDA-X305S

Has anyone had any experience with the Alpine iDA-X305S?

I have an iphone 4 that id like to use as a source for music in my car and was considering the alpine deck

What did you need to know about it?
The current Alpine units will run a Iphone through the usb (all of them exept the cheepest one)

 

I guess I was just after impressions of the unit.

Has there been any problems with it as new versions of iOS have come out in the past? I'm wondering with the new iphone rumoured to come out later in September will I have to wait for a firmware update for the alpine to get it to work? A new cable seems likely with the new phone said to have a new connector.

They worked fine with the iP3 & iP4 & iP4s
Who Knows what will happen with the new iPhone. Apple seem to go out of there way to make there devices not work with anything else that they dont sell.

I agree or they change things just enough so you have to go buy all the accessories again.

Haha , I couldnt get an Iphone to sync via bluetooth with an Ipad to transfer photos .

FAIL sony !

 

Ive always used alpine found it to have better sound quality over some of the other similar priced unite Eg jvc pioneer kenwood
