" .... was how wonderful in every respect, according to them, this car is.... to THEM.. " Jeez, Tassuperkart, you really do tailor scenarios to suit your purpose ... the only comment i made about this vehicle was about the interior which I and many others found to be well done and so commented ..... .. your "wonderful in every respect" quote is just a heap of misquoted/invented rubbish.
Keep the calm people. Keep the calm. So far from what I've read you're all getting a little wound up on peoples opinions and views regarding the 'initial' topic. Might we steer this boat back on coarse and be it in relation to the first post of lnp. 3 pages of confrontational bicker is enough. Much more and it'll be locked. Now, for my thoughts regarding this zed. I've seen it over the times mentioned and spoken about. Personally i like it, with exception to the wheel fitment. Love the rims but a little less 'stance' would be my personal preference. The body is schmik and the engine bay looks brilliant. Along with the interior. I like it quiet allot. Great deal on time and money has been spilt. Kudos to his efforts.
I know I like to shit stir and/or create epic threads but I think this is one of my greatest love child's yet!!'
id go dubs but hey, i havent seen the others since Zedfest is always held on the east coast anyway you are off topic... NA not TT
'til I can afford a forged motor, that's the plan... otherwise than possibly currently unreleased products.
Im going to introduce myself as I am the owner of this Z. I have been building it for a little over 9 years approximately, has been in the family since new. The build is getting quite extensive over the past few years, but some more large changes are coming soon. the built motor is the original matching motor with 60k original. I tore it apart and built every aspect of it so I could eventually mess with it a bit more. About 4k on the motor since the build. Motor choice is NA for a few reasons -its the original out of the car -TT swap is boring imo and seems to happen all of the time with horrible donor motors -finding a clean TT motor out of a low mileage car is next to impossible in the US -most importantly = im starting on a procharger supercharger fab project this fall. donor motor to mock up the parts on is already on the stand, and I already started mocking up some of the initial pieces. Much more interesting to see what I can get out of this car with its matching motor, then a jdm pos with who knows how many miles. She is also getting a rear half cage in the next few weeks, and the rear fenders are being widened about 45-50mm for some larger tires. camber will be -3.5 all around soon. I am an overly detail oriented person as you can tell from the thousands of hours on every aspect of the details that make this project. The bay alone is going on 2 years, and all done by hand in my garage. This is a garage build, not one someone paid 100k+ to have a shop build. For all of the people who appreciate the things I have designed, and built by hand thanks, and for the haters... well you can get caught up on stuff like camber. I Love every bit of what I have created, and will be doing much more over the years to come, regardless of peoples comments about one detail like wheel camber. If i was worried about tread wear, i likely would not have bought tires with a 180 tread wear rating... here are a few recent pictures.
Congratulations on an immaculate zed bud, it's a work of art. The amount of time and effort you've put in is truly an inspiration. Can't wait for the new additions!
hey hey, welcome! Excellent work on the car - just like nothing else. after reading your build threads and getting glazed eyes over Mike DeMicco's USDM 2+0 TT with its tucked bay I got off my fat arse to attempt my own. Fortnight later i'm getting there, with wires everywhereeee at the moment haha. reckon you could give me some pointers? what I've done is in the link in my sig, last 3 pages or so. Not running a throttle cover, which makes things a little more difficult. unfortunately you will find a lot of people that think they should jam their thoughts on camber down your neck. according to most here, coilovers and 3-4* will make a car handle worse. why is beyond me. ever thought of producing a few your aftermarket balance tubes? and did you ever do a write up on your center console?
Agreed I agree with Bracket, Lovely car and kudos to you for building it you way and not listening to the haters. Please keep us updated with the progress :zlove:
