The hose with the crack in it, where does it go? I assume its the turbo coolant return line?

If so where could I relocate it to since its buggered :p

I assume nowhere and it will need to be welded yes?

    Hi

It is the under plenum cooling hose line

you can delete the plenum cooling hoses but the turbo must have coolant running to it via a bypass when you do or it you will kill the turbo really quick!

you have another hose bust too  lol

looks like its of your heater hard line...check if the larger hard line runs down and into your fire wall?

What else would it be? Theres no other pipes that big.

Of course its off his heater hose line - what else resembles the heater hose line? -

like I said it goes to the plenum underbody passage then through onto the turbo coolant passage (unless it has been bypassed in which case it runs direct to the turbo which is not the case here!)

So yes your heater hose is leaking but so is the plenum underbody and turbo passage

    - you have to fix it and cannot bypass it as you need the line for the turbo return - best to buy another heater pipe and/ or braze that one - looks like it was hit off rather than rusted off, so it would be okay to braze it but they are relatively cheap to buy, so buying a new one is the way to go in my opinion as you cannot afford to lose the line midway through driving given the metal will be weak from fatigue in areas that the brazing might not cover up.

New metal pipe = piece of mind! ;)

No turbo cooling = dead turbo!

Did you do that when you pulled the plenum ? looks like you bumped it good .

I recommend .... engine pull :) and redo all the hoses plus bypass .

^^^ lol come on now does every job on this car require an engine pull? lmao

P.S what radiator are you using in your sig picture? I like!

I did my first plenum pull and delete in car, I found it quite straight forward. IMO not really an engine out but it always makes it easier. LOL

Look even a rad hose I recommend ... engine pull :p

That radiator is 56mm alloy from Marcus at Carcraze . It looks good and is my only bling :D

Everything was bypassed last time I had the plenum off, there is nothing else to bypass??

oh - was an assumption since it looked stockish there at the back

it obviously runs direct to the turbo coolant passage then

must have been some force there looking at the pic

Ok regardless that pipe needs to be replaced and its in a very tight space to do it . Lucky its the pipe that has bolts located vertically and not the other one .
