I have just hacked off a nightmare of wiring for an aftermarket Clarion head unit which was so called connected to the existing harness . Unfortunately the original cars harness connectors have been hacked off so I have resoldered connectors from my parts car . Now what are the chances of getting a harness adapter to suit my stereo ? BTW head units are Alpine and Clarion . Cheers Karl
So you have re-soldered original plugs back on? Yeh u can get plug in looms to suit. usually in 2 separate parts: nissan plug to iso standard plug - then iso standard plug to your headunit connector
if its all cut up and re-solded - why bothered splicing in any kind of harness adaptor?.. Ive never used one myself.
The whole idea of adapters is that its neat and goes from plug to plug . What I had can only be described as electrical spaghetti
Car stereo shops / supercheep / repco type shops or egay or i have them too but easier to just go to a shop and get it Car end: Nissan: aerpro or dna Stereo end: http://www.aerpro.com/list.php?cat_name=HARNESSES&cat_no=10&cat_sno=161 or http://dnaaudio.com.au/category2-3-171&page=8
