hi, my driver side power window will not go down, i have replaced the switch because i thought it was that was the problem, turns out it wasnt. when i click the button to go up i can hear the motor make a noise but i hear nothing when clicking down. so its not the motor?? at the moment im thinking the little amp is causing the problem, any ideas???

    Hi there,

Don't know how it works on a Nissan but on my VW the window control module had a burn out a tracer on the circuit board which stopped the window going down but the motor would still click when pressing up. I just soldered a wire to make the connection and all was well.

Does the 300zx have a window control module.

best thing is to take the door trim off and have a gander! then take it from there

The drivers window runs off a control module mounted in the door (small black box).
They are common for dry solder joints (cracked solder joins)
take the door skin off and replace the module or if your handy with a soldering iron pull the little module apart and re-solder the joins. ive done it several times on different cars.
